The terms and conditions below apply to all orders placed at geekoverload.co.uk. By placing an order, you are indicating your acceptance of these terms and conditions. I will always attempt to provide as much technical and descriptive information as is reasonable about the products sold on this site. All images used are actual images of the products sold and no stock photography is used. All information is provided for the sole purpose of providing customers with an accurate description of the items for sale prior to purchase. While I will always attempt to ensure that this information is as up to date as possible, I cannot always guarantee that this will always be the case. Should you have any questions about any product on this site, please contact me before purchase to avoid disappointment.
The total price payable for the items and their delivery will be as shown during the checkout process. On rare occasions, if an item has been mis-priced when listed on the website, I reserve the right to cancel an order and refund the price of the item. However, to date, this has never occurred, and in the event of minor mis-pricing, I have honoured the listed price. Prices are listed in Pounds Sterling (£). A currency calculator is available on the site to provide a rough approximation to the equivalent price in Euros and US Dollars – however, this is merely a guide to the final price and the currency rates are not up to the minute.
There are two main payment methods used on this website – Square Payments (incorporating Debit and Credit Cards) and - PayPal (incorporating Debit and Credit Cards). Customers within the UK and Ireland also have the option of paying via cheque or postal order – however, the cheque or postal order must be received by me before I will ship an order out and if the cheque is of a significant value, I reserve the right to wait until the cheque has cleared before shipping an order.
Due to the increased risk of credit card fraud, if I believe that an order has been placed using illegally obtained payment details, I reserve the right to cancel an order and provide a full refund back to the original payment method.
All products and services are subject to availability and may be withdrawn at any time, particularly as most items are listed in singular quantities. Should I make an error with an item’s displayed available quantity, and an order is received for the item for which I have no more available, I will immediately refund any payment for the item with apologies.
Should I need to provide a refund for an order or part of an order, this will be done via the same payment used to place the order. Although I will make the refund at the first opportunity, there may be a delay in the refund being received, depending on the payment method – up to ten business days. Unfortunately this is completely out of my control as this is processed by Square Payments.
All item prices are listed exclusive of delivery charges which will be added during the checkout process. The delivery charge is based on the weight and dimensions of the order plus a small amount to cover packaging costs. Additional shipping costs will be incurred for orders sent outside of the UK. Shipping costs can always be obtained by ensuring a country is selecting on the Shopping Basket page.
As a general rule, I aim to post orders out the day after receiving them and occasionally the same day. However, as this site is merely a hobby, I cannot make guarantees as other commitments may interfere. However, I will always do my best to ensure orders are shipped as soon as possible. Once an order has been shipped, I cannot be held responsible for the time taken by the delivery companies in delivering the order to you.
Once an order has been delivered to you, you are responsible for it. It is unusual for one of my parcels to be damaged in transit, or an incorrect item supplied, but should this happen, I will always refund or replace. For courier orders, I may need photos as proof of item damage and packaging in order for me to be able to process a refund claim with the courier.
All consoles and games are guaranteed to be working on arrival, unless specifically listed as being for spares/repairs. All consoles are tested prior to me adding them to the site and where possible, the more unreliable game formats, such as NES and Atari 2600, are also tested.. This guarantee specifically excludes faults caused by accident, neglect, and misuse. In addition routine maintenance is not covered. This does not affect any statutory rights that you may have. If you have received a faulty item or one this is not working as expected, please get in touch to discuss it further,
If you are not totally happy with your purchase, you may return the item(s) on your order for a full refund within seven working days from date of delivery, less any applicable delivery charges. It is your responsibility to return any such items in suitable packaging. You will be wholly responsible for the return of the goods and any associated costs of return. Goods received back incomplete, damaged or in any condition other than saleable, will not be accepted. Prior to returning any products, please contact us within seven days from the date of delivery. If goods are not returned within seven days after you have informed us that you wish to cancel your order, your right to cancel will be withdrawn. This right to return items that are non-faulty only applies to orders placed within the UK. However, if you are from outside of the UK and you are not entirely happy with the order you have received, please get in touch to discuss it further.
The terms and conditions shown above do not affect your statutory rights. I will treat each order for goods as an offer by you to purchase the goods subject to the terms and conditions as detailed above
